Deva Sanmartín is an entrepreneur passionate about movement and holistic well-being. As a lover of nature and projects with soul, she integrates her vision into everything she does, from her training in Ayurvedic medicine to her brand, Deva Studio. Who is Deva Sanmartín?

I'm in love with the sun, the fresh air of the Galician mountains, dance, and yoga. I'm passionate about the human capacity to learn and improve both body and mind. I enjoy reading, swimming in the sea, and sharing time and knowledge with women who inspire me.

"I am sunlight on the skin, fresh mountain air, and the flow of movement. I find my space of freedom in the sea, in books, and in yoga."

The connection between body and mind

Body and mind are inseparable: what we think affects our body and what we do with our body modifies our mind and emotional state.

"Through conscious movement, physical strength translates into inner strength, flexibility teaches us to adapt to life, and balance in the body is reflected in the mind. It's a magical process of self-discovery and transformation."

Beyond the Mat: Bringing Yoga into Everyday Life

For Deva, yoga is not limited to the practice of asanas, but involves deep personal development.

"Yoga invites us to be better people, to be careful about what we think, what we say, and how we relate to the world. It's a challenge, but also the most beautiful path."

Conscious eating and well-being

Deva is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Ayurvedic Medicine, which has deepened her understanding of nutrition as a tool for well-being.

"Food can be medicine or make us sick. I try to educate my body without punishing it, giving it what it needs without extreme deprivation. I believe that's the key to having a healthy relationship with both food and physical activity."

Debunking myths about yoga and barre

One of the biggest myths is that yoga is just a physical practice or a sport. Deva reminds us that anyone can practice it, regardless of their physical condition.

"Yoga is a path that helps us be healthier, calmer, and live better."

Their lifestyle is also reflected in their choice of clothing.

"I always choose natural fabrics like cotton and wool with nature-inspired dyes. I love supporting women-led projects, and I'll soon be adding artisan products to my website."
